Back in February I departed Spain after 3 ½ beautiful months spent there, 3 of which were spent working at a Human Rights NGO, with some traveling during weekends and holidays. It was a bitter sweet moment but it was time to depart for some full time traveling. I boarded my flight at Barcelona Airport and headed to a small yet historic and tropical island in the Mediterranean (it tends to be overlooked) called Malta, the flight was approximately 2 hours. The airport was small and I was out within 20 minutes. There is a taxi stand located inside the airport, just follow the signs and there is already a fixed price based on the region you are traveling to, I was charged around 18 Euros for a taxi ride from the airport to my Airbnb in Valletta, you have the options to pay by cash or credit.
